Honduras went through the World Cup qualifiers by claiming victories against Mexico and Costa Rica as well as edging draws when they faced off with Jamaica and Panama. All of those results allowed the team of Luis Fernando Suarez on getting a spot into the last 16 remaining teams which will be travelling to Brazil.
France, Ecuador and Switzerland are all of the opponents that Honduras was pitted with and will be what stands in the way of Fernando Suarez and his side if they want to enter the next stages of the upcoming World Cup.
The Colombian coach of Honduras, Luis Fernando Suarez has not enjoyed the best of times when coaching a national team as he has already coached Ecuador but the results he achieved when being in charge of Ecuador were so disastrous that he had to resign from his position as head coach and now his next challenge awaits him as he has the task on pushing and giving Honduras a chance to taste success and glory.
During the time Fernando Suarez was in charge of Ecuador, the team suffered their worst possible start for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers as they lost 1-0 against Venezuela and later lost 5-0 against Brazil and everything was over for the team when Paraguay claimed a 5-1 victory.
Luis Fernando Suarez stated that his team and he can get positive results against France and their other opponents but they will have to work hard for it.
‘’One always dreams, obviously yes, but in order to achieve those dreams you have to work hard for them. The 1st match is very important that we can play it well as this will eliminate all the pressure and nerves that some players have and hopefully a positive result will give us momentum for the rest of the matches’’. Fernando Suarez revealed.
